Visit of Sh. Trivendra Singh Rawat (Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand)
03rd August 2019 was a great and memorable day for Eklavya Vidyalaya, Kalsi. It was the 10th foundation Day of the vidyalaya and a programme was organised. The vidyalaya was highly privileged and honoured to welcome Sh. Trivendra Singh Rawat (Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand) as the chief guest for the programme. He was accompanied with other dignitaries such as Sh. Yashpal Arya (Hon’ble Minister Transportation, Social Welfare and Minority Welfare, Govt. of Uttarakhand), Sh. Munna Singh Chuahan(Hon’ble MLA, Vikasnagar Legislative Constituency). Other dignitaries from Dept. of Social Welfare, Uttarakhand added charm to the programme with their gracious presence. Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand visited the academic block of the vidyalaya and inspected the different amenities being provided to the students for their academic excellence and was highly impressed. He was also made aware about the schedule of the vidyalaya along with the progress and achievements of the vidyalaya so far. He appreciated the constant efforts being put in by the Principal Dr. G.C. Badoni, all the teachers and other staff for the betterment of the tribal students of Uttarakhand. On this occasion Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand and Hon’ble Minister Transportation, Social Welfare and Minority Welfare, Govt. of Uttarakhand, planted a sapling each in the vidyalaya’s birthday garden. A cultural programme was also organised on this occasion by the students of Eklavya Vidyalaya, Kalsi, which included a welcome song, a bhajan, Jaunsari folk dance, a group song and a demonstration of different yogic postures. In his speech Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand appreciated the vidyalaya’s performance in academics, sports and co-curricular activities and honoured the Principal Dr. G.C. Badoni for the same. Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttarakhand made different announcements for upgrading the amenities of the vidyalaya so that the students could be highly benefitted from it.

Eklavyans visit Rashtrapati Bhawan
Friday, 09th August, 2019 was a special and memorable day for Eklavya Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalaya, Kalsi, Dehradun as the vidyalaya’s choir got a chance to represent the vidyalaya in the Rashtrapati Bhawan at New Delhi on the invitation of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India. The occasion was the celebration of 77 years of National Independence Movement, and it was an opportunity to honour the freedom fighters whose continuous efforts and endeavour led us to this air of invigorating freedom.
The school choir consisted of the same members who made the vidyalaya won the winner’s trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh at the ‘1st National EMRS Music competition – 2019’, held at Tata Nagar, Jamshedhpur, Jharkhand. It was a ‘next level’ experience for the students of the vidyalaya to be visiting the Rashtrapati Bhawan and giving a successful presentation of the patriotic song and thus making the patriotic spirit alive and even more stronger in everyone present there. The students got a chance to interact with the Hon’ble President of India where he found the students intelligent and agile and thus spoke of them as ‘Smart Children’. Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Amit Shah, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, Manmohan Singh, Former Prime Minister, India were some of the other dignitaries present during the programme. The team consisted of 16 students of the vidylaya( some of them playing different musical instruments) accompanied with the Team Manager & Liaison Officer Ms. Sudha Painuli (Vice-Principal) and Escort teachers Mr. Sarju Kumar (TGT – Music), Ms. Amita Rawat, Mr. Ravindranath Goswami. 2nd National EMRS Sports Meet 2019EMRS held Annual Sports Meet in Bhopal, onwards 09 to 13 of December. In the event students participated with zeal and enthusiasm. Performance of students was splendid and got many trophies and medals in that special event. Sohan Singh got Gold Under 19 Table Tennis,
Mansi won Gold in Tiakondo. Garima and Priyanshu won Gold in Archery. Mohit won Gold in short put. Sachin won in Long Walk Race. Vipul and Kavita won Gold under 19 in badminton and Aryan and Tarun got Gold under 19 in badminton. Anchal got Gold under 19 in 100 and 200 race. Under 14 SakshiChauhan got Gold in discuss throw. Under 14 team got Gold in kabbadi. Apart from that students got many Silver and bronz medals. Vidyalaya performed absolutely fantastic performance and got prize for best EMRS of India. Among Top 25 Schools in Dehradun“Success is a journey and not a destination”, believing the same, the Eklavyans have always worked hard to excel in all spheres because excellence has no limit.
In a programme conducted on Wednesday, June 26th 2019 at Pacific Hotel, Dehradun, by DHTV News and Divya Himgiri, Eklavya Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalaya, Kalsi was awarded with the title of One of the Best Schools of Dehradun, for academic excellence. The award was conferred by Mr. Pramod Kumar Gupta (IRS), Principal Chief Commissioner, Income Tax, U.P. West and U.K. region & Mr. Ashok Kumar (IPS), DGP (Crime, Law & Order) Uttarakhand to Smt. Sudha Painuli, Vice-Principal of the vidyalaya, who was representing the school on behalf of the Principal Dr. G.C. Badoni. On their way to SUCCESSWith dreams of a bright future and a will to achieve their goals, these children joined Eklavya at a very young age. With sheer determination and hard work of the students and teachers, today they have made their dreams a reality. The pass out students of the Eklavya vidyalaya have made the whole school proud by getting admissions into the reputed institutions of their choice and are on the verge of becoming what they wanted to be. We are very confident that they will not only become good professionals but also good citizens and will take the nation to the new height of success. Two alumni have already started their career in Indian Army and Merchant Navy respectively. Here is a list of the achievers......
