EKLAVYAN'S

About Us


The sanction of Eklavya Model Residential School was given by the Ministry of Tribal Affair, Government of India, under Article 275(1) as per the gazette notification no-14020/11/2002-SG&c dt.- 19.02.2004.  The vidyalaya was started in august 2010.  The Vidyalaya is running under the supervision of Department of Tribal Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand.  The management of vidyalaya is being looked after by a registered society named EKLAVYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN SAMITI, DEHRADUN, headed by Principal Secretary, Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand.  Vidyalaya is meant for the talented children predominantly from the rural/tribal areas of uttrakhand.  The vidyalaya is proposed to provide quality modern education to the students.  Vidyalaya is co-educatlional and fully resedential.  The Government is providing free education including boarding and lodging along with free uniform, text books, and stationery.  The medium of instruction is bilingual up to class VIII and English afterwards. 50% seats are reserved for girls.  The Vidyalaya represents all the five tribes of Uttarakhand.
